Brief History:
Jody (Jo Ruth) is a born and raised El Pasoan who went to Coldwell Grade School, and Graduated from Austin High School in El Paso.
Kirk was born in St. Louis, MO, but his family moved to El Paso in 1954. He attended Hughey, Ross, and Burges High School. Kirk joined the USMC in late 1968, and was in Viet Nam from April 1969 thru April 1970. This is when they met, at Immanuel Baptist Church. Two years later, they were married, also at Immanuel.
In 1974, a Viet Nam veteran friend of Kirks’ offered them both a job for a new
company in Minnesota. After a six month trial period, they accepted the offer. (Before

During the 15 years in Minnesota, Kirk & Jody ran the Worlds’ largest High School
Foosball Tourney, 8-
Due to this experience, Kirk was hired as National Tournament Director for Team Dart I in 1986. At the time, this required that a set of Rules be written. Those rules are much the same today as were written then. He was also Director for Team Dart II, and Team Dart V, and for all of them, Jody was there.
While living in MN, they had two children, Neal and Elizabeth (Libby).
In 1989, due to health problems with Jodys’ Mom, they relocated back to sunny El Paso, and by the end of that year, started Sports Indoors.
Sports Indoors is still a Charter Holder of the National Dart Association. (18 Yrs.)
